Across the region the branch rescues and cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in the New England and Northern Tablelands from Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Guyra and Armidale in the north, east to Hillgrove and Ebor, south to Uralla, Kentucky, Wollun, Walcha and Bendemeer, and west to Bundarra and Tingha. The branch provides ongoing community wildlife information and education, and they proactively engage in local activities to help protect and preserve wildlife and wildlife habitat.
WIRES could not help the number of animals we do every year without our incredible volunteers. Every branch is always looking for more rescuers and carers, so please consider joining WIRES as a volunteer. You can also donate to the New England Branch to support wildlife locally.

Each WIRES’ branch helps support significant biodiversity within their region. They are regularly working closely with local councils, schools, and other organisations, to identify opportunities to improve the welfare of native animals, and the long-term health of wild species populations.
