Across Sydney’s North Shore the branch rescues and cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife from Mooney Mooney and Milsons Passage in the north, to McMahons Point and Kirribilli in the south, west to Dundas and Oatlands, and east to St Ives, Killara and Northbridge, including Lane Cove National Park and parts of Ku-Ring-Gai National Park. The branch provides ongoing community wildlife information and education, and they proactively engage in local activities to help protect and preserve wildlife and wildlife habitat.
WIRES could not help the number of animals we do every year without our incredible volunteers. Every branch is always looking for more rescuers and carers, so please consider joining WIRES as a volunteer. You can also donate to the North Shore Branch to support wildlife locally.

Each WIRES’ branch helps support significant biodiversity within their region. They are regularly working closely with local councils, schools, and other organisations, to identify opportunities to improve the welfare of native animals, and the long-term health of wild species populations.
