All information made available via WIRES members website is for the use of current volunteers only and strict confidentiality principles apply.

All WIRES information provided to WIRES members, other than that clearly in the public domain, whether it's provided at WIRES meetings, in correspondence, via the website or circulated to members by email or mail, is confidential:

1. Information made available to WIRES members is provided on the basis that it may directly or indirectly assist in the care of native animals and is intended only for that purpose.
2. No information should be shared, given to the media or used in academic or other publications without the specific and written approval of the original source (owner) of the information and WIRES Inc. This includes the use of all photos and written material as copyright regulations apply.
3. WIRES members submitting material for use on the website should exercise care in reporting information that may identify individuals or small communities when there may be some stigma or other adverse consequences associated with such reports.
